  • Pai World War 2 Memorial Bridge

A historical site during World War II built by Japanese soldiers, which is now a tourist attraction and is considered another landmark of Pai that should not be missed. The dark green steel bridge across the Pai River is like the gateway to Pai District, connecting the road from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son.

  • Santichon Village

Santichon Village is indeed a center where visitors have the chance to experience Chinese culture: the village showcases reproductions of traditional Chinese clay houses, and there are a few tiny shops made of mud and clay selling tea by the bag or by the pot, where they also often run tea-tasting sessions. It is also possible to experience Yunnanese way of life, as well as dressing in a traditional Yunnan dress.

  • Yunlai Viewpoint

Yunlai Sea of Mist Viewpoint is located in Santichon Village, Wiang Tai Subdistrict, Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province, approximately 1.6 kilometers from Santichon Village. It is a beautiful sea of mist and sunrise viewpoint in Pai District, which is popular among tourists. You can see the sea of mist surrounded by small and large mountains and the view of Pai townhouses covered in mist. The word Yunlai is Mandarin, meaning a place where clouds gather, which is like the Yunnanese people who immigrated from China but eventually migrated and moved together. Yunlai Sea of Mist Viewpoint can be viewed in both the rainy and winter seasons. The viewpoint area has been designed as a viewing terrace and many cute photo spots, including a viewing terrace, a couple’s padlock spot, a sign that says “I love you”, and a pavilion for tourists to sit and enjoy the morning view. In addition, there is a hot tea service in a kettle for tourists to sip while enjoying the view, priced at 20 baht per set. The entrance fee to the viewpoint is 20 baht per person. The viewpoint has facilities such as rooms, a tent site, toilets, and shops to serve tourists. The best time to see the sea is from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

  • Sutongpe Bridge

The history of Sutongpe Bridge is that it was built from the cooperation of monks and villagers in Kungmaisak Village who helped weave bamboo into long sheets across the rice fields that the owners had donated to the temple. It became a bamboo bridge connecting Kungmaisak Village and Phusama Dharma Park. It is 2 meters wide and approximately 500 meters long.

  • Coffee In Love

Coffee in Love is located on a hill in Pai District. It is a very cute coffee shop that anyone who visits Pai must stop by to check in. The shop has a fairly large area, allowing you to park several cars comfortably, and there are plenty of cool corners to sit and take photos and check in. And everyone should come visiting here.

  • Ban Ja Bo

Ban Ja Bo is a small village on a high mountain, hidden quietly in Pang Mapha District. It is a community of Lahu or Black Lahu people who migrated from Huai Yao under the leadership of Sergeant Bo Phrai Netitham and established the Ban Cha Bo community. The name of the community is named after the village headman. The villagers dress beautifully and solemnly at the same time. They like to wear black cloth. But in fact, it is a cheerful and joyful community, but still adhere to the original way of life and live a simple life. The atmosphere inside the village is lined with wooden houses on both sides of the road in the style of the original hill tribes. All people in the community are relatives. They still use the local Lahu language. The dress of the Lahu people is divided into 3 subgroups: Black Lahu (original), Red Lahu (there is a red stripe on the women’s cloth, which may mean hunters), and Yellow Lahu (Luo Su Gui).

  • Fish Cave

Tham Pla is a cave under the foot of the mountain. There is a stream flowing out of the cave all year round. At the mouth of the cave is a pool of water about 2 meters wide and 1.5 meters deep. You can see a large group of gray-blue forest fish called Pla Mung or Phluang. They are large scaled fish of the same family as the carp. Their bodies are 60-80 centimeters long and weigh about 5-7 kilograms. In addition, Tham Pla also has a beautiful view of the forest and limestone cliffs. Tham Pla is located on Highway 1095 (Mae Hong Son-Mae Malai) between kilometers 191-192, only 17 kilometers from Mae Hong Son city.

  • Ban Rak Thai

Ban Rak Thai is a stunningly beautiful village in Mae Hong Son Province, right next to the Myanmar border. This is one of several Yunnanese enclave towns found in Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son. The villagers are descendants of KMT soldiers from China, now living in peace in a beautiful corner of the world. The town is built on low hills surrounding a lake. Tea is grown on the slopes, and you can taste/purchase tea leaf at many tea shops in the town.

  • Phra That Mae Yen

An ancient temple that has been a part of Pai for a long time. It is not clear when it was built. Inside the temple, there are important buildings such as the chapel, which is a combination of Lanna and Burmese art styles, and a Burmese bell-shaped pagoda located behind the chapel. You can see the entire Pai city view. Other sacred objects include the reclining Buddha and Phra Phuttha Lokuttara Mahamuni, a large white Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude that can be seen from far away. Wat Phra That Mae Yen is located at Ban Mae Yen, Mae Hee Subdistrict, Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province, approximately 2 km from Pai District, just 100 meters past the entrance to Mae Yen Waterfall. Drive up the hill a bit and you will reach the parking lot of Wat Phra That Mae Yen, which is located in the middle. You can choose to walk to pay homage to any sacred object first. However, we recommend walking to the chapel first. The chapel of the temple is a combination of Lanna and Burmese art styles, and the bell-shaped pagoda in Burmese style located behind the chapel is Phra That Mae Yen.

  • Canyon Pai

small town in a valley that we know well, Pai in Mae Hong Son Province, is considered to have many beautiful natural tourist attractions, including national parks, rivers, waterfalls, hot springs, or even beautiful places like Kong Lan or the place that is nicknamed Pai Canyon. This makes green tourists who love nature visit continuously. Kong Lan or Pai Canyon is a naturally occurring tourist attraction. It was formed from the subsidence of the land on this high mountain and was eroded into deep grooves that look like cliffs, connected over a wide area, resulting in the creation of Pai Canyon. The shape of the cliff looks like Pae Mueang Phi in Phrae Province. It is also a beautiful viewpoint of Pai.

  • Wachirathan Waterfall

Is a large waterfall and there was a large amount of water flowing down It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand. Wachirathan Waterfall is in the area of Doi Inthanon National Park. • Hmong market

The villagers’ agricultural market sells seasonal fruits and vegetables. There are dry goods, fresh goods, and hilltribe handicrafts. This Hmong market has a history passed down from grandparents to the present.

  • Trekking at Pha Dok Siew

Is one of the two nature trails in Doi Inthanon National Park under the management of local people. The other trail is the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail which is under the management of the Hmong people. The Karen people of the village of Ban Mae Klang Luang manage the trail and work as guides.  The Karen people received a grant to improve the trail on the occasion of the coronation of King Rama X. They used bamboo and wood to build bridges, stairs, and railings to improve the safety of the trail near the waterfall. I walk the trail at least a couple of times each year. The length of the trail is 5.3 km.
